The hike from Handeck to Gelmersee or from Gelmersee to Handeck is a sporty alternative to the well-booked Gelmerbahn.
Our tip: hike up early in the morning and take the Gelmerbahn down to the valley. Or take the cable car up in the afternoon and hike leisurely back down to the valley.
The hiking route is slightly exposed in some places.
