Visit the Staumauern Spitallamm dams
The highest dam wall in the world at the time was built on Grimselsee 100 years ago, and the new Spitallamm dam wall – another work of the century – has been in operation since 2025. Along the way, our Guided Tour guides will tell you about the construction then and now, about the use of Grimselsee’s hydropower and give you impressive insights. It is currently not possible to visit the dam.
