Tälli: Switzerland’s first via ferrata

 DIFFICULT | 6 h | 8.2 km | 1090 m | 1090 m

Switzerland’s first via ferrata takes you right through the heart of the Gadmerfluh. At about 600 meters long, it is one of the longest and most spectacular via ferratas in Switzerland. The via ferrata underwent extensive renovation in 2026. The starting point for the via ferrata is the Tälli Restaurant and Mountain Lodge, which is easily accessible via the Tällibahn. The via ferrata is open from July through October, weather permitting. 78 meters of ladders, 550 concrete-anchored bolts, and plenty of fixed ropes ensure a safe ascent of the route. The descent follows the backside of the Gadmerfluh and leads via Sätteli back to the Tälli mountain lodge or down to the Engstlenalp.
