Follow the Grimsel stream from the Kessiturm, past the Staumauern Spitallamm at Grimselsee, deep into the granite to the Grimsel 2 pumped-storage power station and to the unique Crystal cave Gerstenegg. In between, you will experience panoramic gondola rides and enjoy lunch together with our Guided Tours.

Ride on the Oberaarbahn to the Kessiturm middle station, followed by a visit to the Kessiturm complex

Guided Tours are available for groups of 10 or more. A maximum of 15 people can take part.

Meeting point and arrival

Guided Tours start at the Grimsel Hospiz visitor center.

The Hospiz can be reached by car and by post bus.

For lunch, you will be served a salad and a dish of the day at the Historic Alpine Hotel Grimsel Hospiz.

Further information

Prerequisites

Guided Tours take place on foot and partly underground. A good physical condition is required.
Our facilities are only partially barrier-free and not suitable for baby carriages.
Animals are not permitted.

Equipment

An audio system and, where necessary, a safety vest and helmet will be provided. We recommend sturdy, sure-footed shoes and a warm jacket. The temperatures in our facilities range between a cool 10 and 18 degrees.

Minimum age

The minimum age is 10 years. Children aged 6 and over can take part if accompanied by a parent or guardian and under their responsibility.

Language

Guided Tours are conducted exclusively in German.
