Discover the Aare Gorge, where the river has eaten its way through the limestone over thousands of years. A path leads over footbridges and through tunnels through the gorge. A wonderful excursion for the whole family!
The Zentralbahn Meiringen Innertkirchen (formerly MIB) runs directly to the stops at the west and east entrances to the gorge. If both entrances are open, the gorge is accessible throughout. Once you reach the other side, the Zentralbahn will take you back to the starting point.
Dogs must be kept on a lead. The Aare Gorge is wheelchair-accessible from the west entrance (Meiringen side) to the middle.
