The starting point for the hike to the Oberaargletscher is the Oberaar. A sun-drenched high valley, easily accessible via the six-kilometre panoramic road from the top of the Grimsel Pass. Starting from the Oberaarbahn mountain station, the hike takes around an hour over the Oberaar dam, along the northern shore of the Oberaarsee to the foot of the Oberaargletscher. Experience crystal-clear mountain lakes, moorland, whistling marmots and a pair of circling eagles. Nature and technology go hand in hand in the Oberaar region.

Tip: As long as the Panoramastrasse is closed, the Oberaarbahn can also be used to reach the Oberaar region.
