Hike to the Lauteraar hut

The hike to the Lauteraarhütte SAC leads over the Staumauern Spitallamm up to the Juchli and along the Grimselsee, over narrow paths carved into the rock, through protected high moors and flowering mats interspersed with Swiss stone pines to the siltation zone at the foot of the glacier. The second part of the route leads through the interesting primeval area of the Unteraargletscher – the origin of the Aare – and finally up to the rocky spur to the hut in the high alpine area.
