Alpinhütte Bäregg

Opening hours

Winter season
The Bäregghütte hibernates over the winter nestled deep in the snow.

Summer season 2026
Closed in summer 2026 due to the closure of the Oberaar panoramic road.

The Bäregghütte is located in the middle of the magnificent mountain world of the Grimsel and Oberaar at 2455 m above sea level. The entire area between the Grimsel Pass, Sidelhorn, Oberaarjoch, Bärglistock, Bächlistock and Räterichsbodensee is a cantonal nature reserve. It is home to various protected areas such as moorland, wetlands and wildlife reserves and borders on the Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You are your own boss and chef in the alpine vacation hut Bäregg.
