Over the deep gorge into the drift area
The train ride takes ten minutes over the Triftwasser and up to the starting point for the 1.5-hour hike to the undisputed highlight of the Suspention bridge Triftbrücke area – the Triftbrücke.
Other hiking destinations here in the Trift include the Cabin Windegghütte SAC and the route over the Furtwangsattel to Guttannen.

Tickets
Online reservation in advance is strongly recommended, as there may be longer waiting times when purchasing tickets at the valley station.
Please collect your time tickets for uphill and downhill journeys with the purchased ticket voucher from the ticket office at least 15 minutes before departure so that your reserved seats are guaranteed.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the Grimseltor Tourist Center in Innertkirchen and at the Triftbahn valley station. These are valid per journey for the calendar day and time of day specified at the time of purchase. Subsequent changes, exchanges or refunds of the purchase price are not possible.
Information about the hiking trail
Good footwear and surefootedness are required for the hiking trail from the Triftbahn mountain station to the Suspention bridge Triftbrücke.
Location and arrival
The valley station is located on the Susten Pass road between Innertkirchen and Gadmen.
Equipment
The Triftbahn takes you up to around 1400 m above sea level. Temperatures and weather conditions can change quickly in the mountains.
We recommend sturdy shoes and weatherproof clothing. The mountain paths require surefootedness and a head for heights
Prerequisites
The Triftbahn is only accessible via stairs and is therefore not wheelchair accessible, not suitable for baby carriages and also not suitable for people with walking difficulties. There are no facilities for storing luggage.

Hiking trail to the Cabin Trifthütte closed
Due to the extensive avalanche damage, the Cabin Trifthütte will remain closed all year round until further notice.
The path to the Cabin Trifthütte will not be maintained or secured until the hut reopens. The bridges and chains on the summer path have been dismantled.
