The Sidelhornbahn cable car takes you from the Hotel Grimsel Hospiz via Grimselsee up to the foot of the Sidelhorn, the starting point of the alpine hiking route to the summit of the Sidelhorn and the breathtaking high-altitude trail to Trübtensee and Oberaarsee.
This cable car was once a works cable car and now takes hikers to the continental divide of the Aare and Rhone rivers, from north and south, in just a few minutes.

Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online, at the Grimseltor Tourist Center in Innertkirchen, at the reception of the Grimsel Hospiz Alpine Hotel and at the ticket machines in the Grimsel Hospiz Visitor Center and at the Sidelhornbahn mountain station.
Accepted means of payment at the ticket machines: EC and credit cards, REKA and postcard, Twint.
A subsequent change, exchange or refund of the purchase price is not possible.
Location and arrival
The valley station of the Sidelhornbahn is located at the Grimsel Hospiz. The mountain station is a 10-minute walk from the top of the Grimsel Pass.
The Sidelhornbahn can be reached by car or post bus.
Equipment
Prerequisites
The Sidelhornbahn takes you up to around 2200 m above sea level. A good physical condition is required. The mountain trails require surefootedness and a head for heights.
The Sidelhornbahn is not suitable for wheelchairs or baby carriages. It is self-propelled and is operated by the guests themselves. There is no possibility for luggage storage.
